On behalf of the CQ Hotels Group family I would like to welcome you to our venues.
CQ Hotels Group ( formerly Central Queensland Hotels Group) is proudly a Queensland Family owned company and was founded by the acquisition by the late Mr Haydn Fargas of the Blackwater Hotel Motel in 2000, then the further acquisition of the Jolly Collier Hotel Motel, and ‘N’ Cattle Hotel Motel in 2004.
Hotels in regional towns are always more than just the meeting place for the community and are important to support the many local clubs and associations as well as offering employment opportunities for countless locals.
Having come from a hotelier family in Country Victoria after patriarch George was born and raised in Mt Isa, good old-fashioned values of service with a smile and value for money are important concepts in the CQ Hotels beliefs that has survived for three Generations.
The Group has expanded in more recent years under the direction of Mr H Fargas’ son Anthony. Our ten venues run from Mackay to Brisbane to the Solomon Islands which we are proud of that embrace the values of what the Group was founded upon.
Our friendly staff will ensure that your stay is comfortable and an enjoyable one. The steak is always cooked to perfection and the beer is always Cold.
